Following Anthony Bourdain's suicide, mental health in restaurant industry in focus.

"I hate and love talking about suicide," Laura Green admitted to a group of food and beverage professionals Monday night. "It's a horrible thing to talk about; it's an important thing to talk about. It's a scary thing for me to talk about because I want it represented in a way that's appropriate."
Green, who recently earned her master's degree in community and clinical mental health counseling from DePaul University, has worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years. In response to the suicide of chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain, among other losses, Green organized Monday's session to address topics pertinent to the industry: bar culture, alcohol and substance abuse, and healthy coping mechanisms.
